examination/scan/test
For better results in health care, we should know patient condition and physical damage. Therefore we start with patient case history. Then, we move to Orthopaedic exams, Neurological exams, Chiropractic exams and Oriental Medicine exams which need for the patient.
We also use state-of-art Infrared thermoscan “TyTron C5000” to check patient’s para-spinal temperature.
Car accident, injury/trauma, some pathological findings, scoliosis, or when doctor need to see x-ray images for diagnosis, we move forward to take digital x-ray exam.
We correct all exam and test results and carefully make a diagnosis and treatment plan for each patient.
This is why first visit may take around 1 hour 30 minutes for most patient.
what is chiropractic
Chiropractic is a philosophy, science and art of things natural; a system of adjusting the segments of the spinal column by hand only, for correction of the cause of dis-ease.
Chiropractic care focuses on the function of the nervous system through its specific care of the spine. The nervous system is the “master system” of the body. It controls and coordinates all body functions.
The brain, spinal cord, and nerves transmit messages that we receive from the outside environment and internal organs, which allow the body to respond and adapt appropriately.
When these messages are disrupted, the body can lose optimum function and resistance and become vulnerable to disease.
Doctors of Chiropractic (D.C.s) adjust the spine with easy, manual thrusts to move the spinal vertebrae back to their normal positions. A chiropractor will sometimes also adjust the joints of the arms, and legs.
Chiropractic has proven successful in relieving the following health conditions: headaches, migraines, low back pain, neck pain, sciatica, carpal tunnel syndrome, joint stiffness, muscle spasms, scoliosis, numbness, tingling, dizziness, and high blood pressure.
Also spinal adjustments may relieve a spectrum of ailments, such as menstrual cramps, otitis media, allergies, asthma, stomach disorders, spastic colon, and arm, hand, and leg pain that's due to dysfunction of the spine. Some patients with asthma and emphysema turn to chiropractic care to release tension in the chest.
A substantial number of systematic reviews of literature and meta-analyses have been conducted recently concerning efficacy, patient satisfaction, and cost-effectiveness of chiropractic care.
Infants, children, teenagers, adults, and the elderly can all benefit from chiropractic care. Chiropractic helps restore the body’s inborn ability to heal itself and maintain health in people of all ages.
You have an "inborn" ability to be well and to get well, but there may be times when you are not well. Chiropractic helps maintain or restore wellness by careful attention to your body's own healing ability. This ability is dependent upon nervous system control. Accurate communication within the nervous system is therefore a primary factor in health.
Chiropractors identify circumstances where your body structure, particularly your spine, is interfering with the functions of your nervous system, and correct them. Often, people confuse a symptom-free state with wellness. The goal of the chiropractor is to help you achieve the maximum expression of life and health, not merely to make you feel better. When you are expressing health, a symptom-free state is a natural consequence.
It is important to have a regular chiropractic check-up because we can identify many problems with the spine and nervous system before you are aware of them.
chiropractic
Chiropractic is Philosophy, Science and Art of natural health care system found by Dr. Daniel David Palmer at Davenport, Iowa in Sept. 18, 1895.
Since then Chiropractic has developed, evolved and progressed with its fundamental principle, theory, technique, technology and science.
Modern and Advanced Chiropractic Methods such as Gonstead Technique and Palmer Upper Cervical Specific Technique (HIO, Toggle Recoil), both use 3 important things.
First, Thermoscan instruments, such as Neurocalometer, Nervoscope and Tytron C-5000 computerized infrared thermograph.
Using these instruments have building trust and expertise to Chiropractic examination.
Second, X-Ray Examination and Image Analysis.
We do not take X-Rays for all patients. No X-Ray Exam for pregnant women, infants and small children for safety reason. We take X-Rays when there are reasons to do so.
X-Ray Exam and Analysis bring about a certain cachet and accuracy to Chiropractor’s diagnosis, clinical impression and report of findings.
Third, specific designed chiropractic adjusting tables.
Chiropractors adjust SUBLUXATION, misalignment vertebra which interfere nerve function (life force), by hand only.
These chiropractic tables make patient more comfortable and improve stability, therefore patient relax easier. When patient relaxed, chiropractor needs less force/thrust to adjust spinal bone.
Well designed high quality chiropractic tables bring about better results with patient comfort.
Ace Chiropractic Clinic is a patient centered and result-oriented healthcare facility. That is why we are fully equipped clinic with state-of art digital X-Ray and IR Thermograph for exam, and highest quality adjusting tables for chiropractic care.
Not only that, Dr. Matsushita achieved Best Toggle Recoil Award due to win the technique competition of 125+ students in his class, and Clinical Teaching Assistant Award due to excellent performance in clinical knowledge and skills, from Palmer College of Chiropractic.
These awards proof that he is an outstanding chiropractic clinician in both Upper Cervical Specific Technique and Gonstead Technique.
Yes, we equipped “God Hand” too.

Japanese style Acupuncture
Japanese Style Acupuncture and Moxibustion, which is called "Shinkyu" in Japan, is an advanced method of acupuncture.
Ancient Chinese Acupuncture was introduced into Japan in 414 through ancient Korea. Therefore, fundamental principle and theory are same as ancient Chinese Medicine.
Japanese really respect ancient Chinese Medicine and its original idea, therefore they study hard and try to master it, however Japanese acupuncturists also have developed and evolved it as "Kaizen", which means make it better, with unique Japanese way.
Japan has practiced this medicine for 15 centuries, and over time a difference in practices and techniques was developed, making for a very different art and philosophy towards acupuncture, and they call this medicine as "Oriental Medicine."
Sugiyama Waichi (1614–1694) was a Japanese acupuncturist, and he reputedly discovered the secret of the "shinkan"(insertion tube) after pricking himself on a needle wrapped in a leaf. His development of the shinkan, combined with his use of extremely fine gold and silver needles, allowed for comparatively painless acupuncture, and resulted in considerable expansion of the art; for this reason he is often referred to as the "father of Japanese acupuncture".
There are 6 primary differences in practice between Chinese and Japanese Acupuncture.
The Size of the Needles – Japanese needles tend to be a smaller gauge and sharper than Chinese needles. This is the reason for a gentler and less pain on the patient.
Touch as a Pre-needle Treatment – Japanese acupuncture places a lot of emphasis on the use of palpation (touch) before needle treatment. These practitioners rely on abdominal palpation to judge the insertion point of the needle. Also this makes less pain due to reduce patient’s skin sensitivity.
Insertion Methods – Japanese acupuncturists use unique needling technique with insertion tube, which was invented and developed by Sugiyama Waichi in the 17th century in Japan. This method makes gentler and less pain too.
Depth of Insertion – Japanese needling is extremely gentle and superficial (meaning only focused on the surface and maybe slightly under the surface of the skin), whereas Chinese needling fosters more depth of insertion.
Qi Sensation and needle handling – Chinese Acupuncture gives patients a much more distinct feeling of qi moving through their body, that’s why Chinese acupuncturists rotate and shift the needle much more than Japanese-Style Acupuncture. Further, the increased depth of the needle gives more distinct sensations.
Herbs in Conjunction With Treatment – Chinese use of herbs in conjunction with acupuncture treatment, but Japanese acupuncturist often do not tend to use herbs in conjunction with treatment.
The Japanese-Style Acupuncture use fine needles, and a gentler technique with shallow insertion. Its diagnostic assessment relies heavily on palpation of the abdomen, back and various pulses along the meridian system. Therefore, Japanese style Acupuncture is often called "Meridian Acupuncture" , "Gentle Acupuncture" or "Patient-centered Acupuncture."

what is acupuncture
Acupuncture is one part of Traditional Chinese Medicine originating in ancient China some 3,500 years ago. It has been most commonly used systems of healing in the Eastern world, especially in China, Korea and Japan.
The World Health Organization recognized that there are 361 acupuncture points on the human body, which are connected by pathways called meridians. The meridians conduct energy, or Qi (pronounced "chi"), between the surface of the body and its internal organs.
Qi is believed to help regulate balance in the body. It is influenced by the opposing forces of yin and yang, which represent positive and negative energy and forces in the universe and human body.
Acupuncture is believed to keep the balance between yin and yang, thus allowing for the normal flow of Qi throughout the body and restoring health to the mind, body and spirit.
In the late 1970s, the WHO recognized the ability of acupuncture and Oriental Medicine to treat several common ailments, such as:
①Neuromusculoskeletal conditions: arthritis, neuralgia, insomnia, dizziness, neck pain, shoulder pain.
②Emotional and psychological disorders: depression, anxiety.
③Circulatory disorders: hypertension, angina pectoris, arteriosclerosis, anemia.
④Respiratory disorders: emphysema, sinusitis, allergies and bronchitis.
⑤Gastrointestinal conditions: food allergies, ulcers, chronic diarrhea, constipation, indigestion, intestinal weakness, anorexia, agastritis.
In 1997, a consensus statement released by the National Institutes of Health found that acupuncture could be useful by itself or in combination with other therapies to treat addiction, headaches, menstrual cramps, tennis elbow, fibromyalgia, myofascial pain, osteoarthritis, lower back pain, carpal tunnel syndrome and asthma.
Other studies have demonstrated that acupuncture may help in the rehabilitation of stroke patients, can relieve nausea in patients recovering from surgery, and effect in sterility, anti-aging and cosmetic.
